Shinjuku Hoseki Bako: Prices, How It Works & What to Think Through First

Kabukicho's Hoseki Bako is an open-floor sexy bar, not a Yoshiwara soapland. About ¥10,000 for 40 minutes with drinks included, girls rotate at random; drinks for her, privacy and budget are what to think through before you go.

Hoseki Bako promo: from around ¥10,000 for 40 min; about ¥20,000 per person including drinks for her (as the shop states on the day)

Let's be clear on the type first: Hoseki Bako is in Kabukicho, Shinjuku, and it's a sexy bar (often called an "oppai pub") — an open hall with girls rotating at random. It is not a Yoshiwara soapland, and there's no full shower routine or private one-on-one finish like a shop visit. If that's what you want, see our Yoshiwara shop pages or outcall.

I treat it as a "light nightlife experience": busy, other guests in view, short time. Some people love the buzz; if you'd mind being seen by others, don't push yourself.

How the money works (as commonly described publicly — the bill is whatever the shop says on the day): entry is about ¥10,000 for 40 minutes, same price for foreigners and Japanese, stated as no forced spending, and in-house drinks are included. Buying her a drink starts at about ¥2,400 a glass — one of her main sources of income. My advice for a first visit: finish the 40 minutes first, then decide on an extension. Where people really overspend is buying round after round and add-ons in the moment.

Getting in: you usually meet support in Shinjuku, they walk you to the door to confirm the price, then you go into the hall. It's mostly Japanese inside, but a translation app is enough; no secret filming. The lighting is dim and the music isn't too loud to talk. Once you're seated and have ordered, someone usually comes over within minutes to introduce herself and hand you a card, then you chat face to face.

How the time splits: in public accounts, 40 minutes usually means about 3 girls, maybe a 4th when it's quiet — the total is still 40 minutes, so more girls means less time each. Near the end staff may ask if you want to extend; answer according to your budget.

Boundaries (based on public accounts — the house rules and her wishes always come first): upper-body contact and kissing are OK in many descriptions; below the waist is not. Some may hint at opening champagne (public accounts put the cheapest at around ¥50,000–60,000) and then "going out" — the time and cost are unclear, and I wouldn't do it on a first visit. If you want the full experience, go for a proper soapland or outcall.

If you really like someone, you can pay a nomination fee to keep her with you instead of rotating; public accounts say about ¥3,000–4,000, confirmed in the shop. No need to chase a particular star's schedule — most girls are assigned when you arrive.

Booking: if your Japanese is good and you're confident going alone, public accounts say the price is the same, though walk-ins sometimes get a cooler reception. I'd recommend booking and getting walked over through our official support, and confirming the total and what's off-limits before you go in. You must be 18+ — bring your passport. Pay the shop in person, and never transfer money to a stranger's private account "to lock in a spot." If someone pitches you other services on the way out, that has nothing to do with our booking — use your own judgment.

Finally: prices, extensions, whether foreigners are accepted and nomination fees are all as the shop states on the day. If unsure, ask support first, then decide whether to go.
